Volleyball (Grades Kindergarten - 4th)

Program Description: 
Have a great time learning the sport of volleyball in the K4 Sports Volleyball Program! Throughout the duration of the program, participants will learn a wide variety of skills including passing, setting, blocking, and serving. Older players will also work on spiking. Each week will include small sided, modified games that help players learn spacing on the volleyball court, communication with teammates, and moving to the ball. The positive atmosphere makes for a fun learning experience catered to all skill abilities!





             

The Curriculum

🏐Athletic ready position with movement training

🏐Agility and coordination drills

🏐Underhand and overhand serve

🏐Arm swing for spike and serve

🏐Setting and passing technique

🏐Court positioning for serve reception and defense

🏐Footwork for spike approach

🏐Team play: How to rotate and play

Equipment: All equipment is provided. If children bring their own volleylite ball, we recommend it is labeled with their name. Participants should wear comfortable/athletic clothing and sneakers. Knee pads are recommended. All players will receive a t-shirt. We recommend participants bring a water bottle each week.
